Sorry everybody. Things got away from me here. If you look on flickr, you can see most of the pictures from the 365 Project. I underestimated the amount of work to post to flickr and blog them photos. I've missed a few days here and there and I think that's ok. The idea was to push myself creatively and content-wise. I find there have been a number of days were I had time to shoot to and from work and since I drive the same route every day, there is a lack of variety.
Here's the difficulty in keeping up, there are four little blessings (one's not so little anymore) that keep me pretty busy before and after work. Tough to get pictures with them using you for a jungle gym.
I'm going to try and keep updating the blog, but it won't be all the time.
What's the idea behind this photo. It's out in the garden and night, pitch black out there. Except for the interesting light patterns. I light painted the rock to make it more readable and just a touch of post processing for pop.

If the Golden Arches can take my money and make me sit at the pay window for 10 minutes because they are too slow, I should be able to take pictures. She could have brought my sandwich to the pay window and I could have pulled out! Oops! I do the drive-thru sometimes. Here's my take on the true cost of a drive-thru: www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=198914577532&topic=11173

I was out testing new houses for Energy Star compliance and snapped this image of this mechanical chase.
What does a house look like before the walls go on? Like this. In this development, this mechanical chase was a serious point of air leakage. The war air from the house could easily enter the attic, taking with it the heat and moisture that you want in the house. In this chase is the dryer vent (metal pipe) and the radon pipe (plastic). The view is looking straight up the chase and into the attic.

I always bring the camera when I go to the local nature center. There's always somebody hanging around the feeders.

I wanted to capture the eagles on the end of Onondaga Lake, but they weren't there. I cut through Franklin Square. I think I may have photographed that in every season now. The old buildings and the open spaces are awesome. I want to shoot a wedding down there or maybe some formals.

I was getting down to the end of the day and noticed this in the entry of the dance studio when picking up my daughter. I only had my camera phone (blah!) I figured that would work.

I took my oldest daughter out yesterday to see if we could find some fog pictures. Low quality fog, but we got a few keepers in our hour of wandering around. This is the Seneca River, nor far from our house.

I swung by Burritts Cafe for the afternoon music. They have over a 100 different musicians that play there. They have live music on the weekends. Today was blues and rock. When I get his name I'll update the post.

He got jealous when I started shooting portraits of the other cat (Rat-boy). So he came over and posed!

Everything got locked in the car when my wife took off with both sets of keys to take one of the girls to Irish Step Dance. Yesterday morning's drive to work.

Here's the mural in the Princesses' room. Finally the painting is 99% done and life can start to return to normal.

I thought about giving you a break from the pink. The painting has been a big part of my day, but also the snow. We had more than 2 feet come down during the day. We saw a plow twice all day.
Saw this in the morning, but frost on glass with a blizzard outside does not show up well. Using the outside light as a back light and the flash as fill, it worked. There was less frost in the morning when I first saw it.

I've been working on painting the girls room pink. It's PINK! Do not attempt to adjust the color on the monitor.
Project 365
This is my 365 Project. I'm going to attempt to take a picture every day for a year and post it here and in Flickr. I might get it posted every day, or it might be a few days at a time. Enjoy the pics!
In the meantime, I'll start on the Dunkin Donuts!
